Easter is a central time in the Christian faith when we remember and celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Saviour.
At Baptist Community Church Burwood, we celebrate Easter in two ways.
Good Friday
On Good Friday we remember and celebrate Jesus’ death.
While it sounds strange, we celebrate Jesus death because it is through his death that we can have a relationship with the God who created us and who loves us.
Easter Sunday
On Easter Sunday we remember and celebrate Jesus rising from the dead.
Christians believe that Jesus rose again, three days after he was killed. This shows the power of God and gives us hope for the future.
